The sandy white beaches and sparkling emerald waters of Mauritius is welcoming vaccinated guests to enjoy in-resort holidays on the island. Whether it is a romantic rendezvous, a long-awaited family reunion or a getaway with friends, LUX* Grand Gaube Resort & Villas has curated a selection of immersive Collectable Experiences certain to keep guests entertained this summer.

Hug Me Honey

Surrounded by 14 hectares of lush green landscape, LUX* Grand Gaube Resort & Villas is a paradisiacal home to over 240,000 hardworking honeybees. The resort’s very own bee apiary produces around 16 kilogrammes of honey annually and can be found in the menus and dishes of the resort’s six restaurants and seven bars, as well as in treatments for LUX* Me Spa. Guests of the Hug Me Honey experience will join LUX* Grand Gaube’s resident honey expert on a guided tour of the resort’s eight working hives, sharing details of the natural processes involved in the creation of honey, providing an inside look at the inner workings of a hive and speaking on the resort’s commitment to nurturing and growing the bee colony into the future.  For aspiring chefs, a private cooking or cocktail mixing class using locally sourced ingredients can be arranged and for those interested in trying their hand at building an urban bee apiary back home a beekeeping kit is provided to help kickstart the process.

New Habits Wellness Routine

It is no secret that good habits and consistent routine are the key ingredients to not only implementing but most importantly maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This summer, LUX* Grand Gaube invites guests to dive into a new wellness journey designed to encourage the establishment of new routines and learning as well as dedicating time to relaxation and self-care.  Ranging from a raw cooking masterclass to daily journaling practice and guided meditations, New Habits Wellness Routine will encourage guests to embrace slow living and provide sustainable tools and techniques for maintaining new routines long after returning home.

Complete Exclusivity

Families and smaller groups seeking full privacy and seclusion are invited to enjoy one of LUX* Grand Gaube’s exclusive private villas or residences, ensuring the immediate group is kept secluded within a bubble.  Guests seeking to explore an extra special off-grid paradise can also enjoy a complimentary day trip to the idyllic private island, Ile Des Deux Cocos, where days are spent snorkelling in a protected marine reserve, barbecuing on the beach with freshly caught seafood, sipping on homemade infused rum cocktails and exploring The Villa, the islet’s historical landmark once home to the British governor, Sir Hesketh Bell, built in the 1920s.

Booking information:  Fully vaccinated guests will be able to enjoy facilities within the resort including the pool and the beach. A negative PCR test must be presented between five and seven days before departure to Mauritius.  A PCR test will be conducted at the airport on arrival as well as on day seven and 14 during their resort holiday as applicable.
