Newmarket Holidays Continues Recruitment Drive with Appointment of Senior Product Management Roles

Newmarket Holidays, the escorted tour operator, has further strengthened its Product Team with the appointment of a new Head of Product Planning and Strategy, Verity Rice, and a new Head of Product - Europe, the UK and Ireland, Michael Fleetwood. The appointment of Rice and Fleetwood comes off the back of encouraging results for the operator post-pandemic and marks an exciting time in the company’s growth. Both new recruits bring a wealth of travel experience and expertise to the Newmarket Holidays team.

Verity Rice is a versatile product marketing professional with extensive experience in leading teams to successfully deliver customer-focused marketing and commercial sales development strategies.  She has an impressive track record for results and brings with her 20 years of experience in the travel industry across product management, commercial, sales and marketing roles, having previously worked at First Choice Holidays, TUI and Travelopia, where she held senior positions for nine years.

Commenting on her appointment, Rice said: “As travel is now back on track, I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge, skill set and passion for tour operating to the fabulous team at Newmarket Holidays to help drive collaboration, efficiency and growth towards our strategic goals.”

Michael Fleetwood has been appointed as the new Head of Product – Europe, UK and Ireland and brings with him twenty-nine years of experience in the escorted tours and tailormade holidays sector. Fleetwood hails from luxury travel company, SevenTravel, where he worked as the Head of Product and has held previous roles at SAGA, Abercrombie and Kent, Cox and Kings, Intourist and Cosmos Travel.

Fleetwood said: “I’m delighted to have joined such a prestigious touring company. Newmarket Holidays’ range and breadth of product within the UK and Europe is exciting and I look forward to adding to this over the next few months with the great team.”
