Hurtigruten Group Joins Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (ATAS)

Hurtigruten Group asserts its position as the leader in adventure travel by becoming the first-ever expedition cruise company to join the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers

Hurtigruten Group, leaders in expedition cruise, has joined the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (ATAS), becoming the first-ever expedition cruise company to join.

With over 125 years’ experience sailing pole to pole, becoming an ATAS member continues Hurtigruten Group’s commitment as the leader in expedition cruise, taking guests on adventures to some of the remotest parts of the world responsibly.

ATAS agents will have access to Hurtigruten’s travel agent portal, agentportal.hurtigruten.com, arming them with all the information and support they need to help sell a Hurtigruten Expeditions or Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express cruise to the adventurous traveller. The portal will include information about destinations, ships and excursions, and access to customised marketing materials.

This year, Hurtigruten Group announced a series of new itineraries taking guests to lesser-explored destinations, including the Galapagos Islands, the Bissagos and Northern Russia. Hurtigruten Group offers the perfect sailings for those seeking adventure with a range of exciting excursions from hiking to kayaking.

Mark Walter, Head of UK Sales at Hurtigruten Group, said; “We are delighted to be a member of ATAS, and to bring the Hurtigruten experience to those passionate about adventure travel. As leaders in expedition cruise, this is a great opportunity for us to align with like-minded agents who understand our brand, products and ethos and to showcase the very best of what we have to offer to customers. We hope to show people that no matter age or experience, Hurtigruten can deliver a memorable adventure.”

Claire Brighton, ATAS Account Director said; We are elated Hurtigruten have joined ATAS as our first expedition cruise member. ATAS are keen to broaden our membership to include a full array of adventure products to bring to our agent members and we feel this include expedition cruise. Hurtigruten joins us at an exciting time, our agent membership has grown over the last 18 months and our biggest ever conference is in a couple of weeks time. We look forward to working with the team at Hurtigruten.”
