Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs welcomes locals and visitors this summer with a vibrant lineup of experiences across its 153 guest rooms and restaurant & bar concepts – 4 Saints, Juniper Table, High Bar and Window Bar – located at the center of downtown Palm Springs’ The Block. Among what guests can discover:

Recharge the Mind with Literary Amenities

Through its Bedside Reading program, guests of The Rowan have a new form of escapism: between the pages of a book. The literary amenity program includes curated hardcover and paperback books, eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and meditations, all complimentary for guests to enjoy while staying at the hotel and to take home. Collections are updated quarterly and feature bestsellers by favorite authors spanning genres from fiction, classics and thrillers to wellness, personal growth and memoirs. Look for hardcopy books bedside in The Rowan’s guest rooms and poolside at the rooftop pool with cabanas. A novel green counterpart, guests can access a complimentary selection of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks by scanning the QR code on the custom-tasseled bookmark found in every room.

A Spirited Social Hub: Window Bar Happy Hour and Resident DJ

A new Happy Hour Bar Bites menu and signature Cocktail of the Day provide an afternoon reprieve from the desert sun at Window Bar, positioned under a cinematic window in the lobby living room. The intimate bar and lounge’s first exclusive food menu showcases shareable tapas by Executive Chef Richard Crespin, informed by his international culinary expertise, such as Tuna Tartare Ribbons with avocado wasabi, French radish, and ginger marinade; Beer Cheese Fondue + Soft Pretzels; and Basque Clams + Chorizo with littleneck clams, chorizo de Bilbao, white wine pan sauce, and garlic bread. The Bar Bites menu is served daily during Happy Hour from 5-7 p.m. Join DJ Modgirl for evenings elevated with eclectically euphonious mixes, 7-10 p.m. Thursdays and 4-7 p.m. Fridays.

New Menus to Awaken the Palate

Crespin adds his global flair to menus centered on local and organic ingredients at the lobby-adjacent Juniper Table and rooftop High Bar. At Juniper Table, signature dishes include the Breakfast Tostada with crispy potato, chorizo, sunny side up eggs, avocado, queso fresco, crema, Pico de Gallo, and radish on the all-day menu and on the dinner menu, the Harissa Spiced Chicken with basil fava bean puree, cumin spiced yogurt, and textured carrots. Snacks at High Bar, like Poke Nachos with wonton chips, are met with specialty cocktails perfect for poolside sipping such as the vodka-based Desert Breeze with passionfruit, pineapple, Giffard Crème de Pêche, grenadine, lime, and Peychaud’s Bitters. At each restaurant and bar within The Rowan, Director of Restaurants, Bars & Events Jerry Perez has revamped the wine list with a primary focus on California and Oregon wines along with French and Italian wines. Juniper Table’s all-day menu is served from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner menu from 3- 9 p.m. daily. Food service at High Bar is available daily, 12-7 p.m.

In addition, every Tuesday at Juniper Table is now Thirsty Tuesday where guests can enjoy select $1 draft beers with the purchase of one pizza. High Bar introduces Industry Night, Mondays from 8-10 p.m., featuring live DJ sets by DJ Modgirl along with 20 percent off select drinks for all hotel and restaurant industry professionals.

Dining Under Desert Skies

For the first time, the rooftop 4 Saints remains open during summer, making the Michelin-recognized restaurant a year-round destination for dining and drinks with dramatic views of the San Jacinto Mountains. Dishes to delight on the new dinner menu include Ube Gnocchi with purple yam, brown butter, dashi Dijon, and sesame seeds and miso-glazed Icelandic Salmon with buckwheat soba noodles, snap peas, Japanese mushrooms, and five-spice broth. The just-launched Happy Hour at 4 Saints’ bar is a new way to experience one of Palm Springs’ favorite pastimes. 4 Saints is open Wednesday-Sunday, 4-6 p.m. for Happy Hour and 5-10 p.m. for dinner.

To ensure it consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience, The Rowan is committed to making small updates with big impact on an ongoing basis. Recent enhancements to the guest rooms include the installation of new custom closets, nightstands and area rugs. The Rowan’s rooftop pool deck, perched atop the tallest building in Palm Springs with the city’s only rooftop pool and cabanas, also received an upgrade with new furnishings in muted desert hues.
