VENTURE ‘INTO THE WILD’ IN NEWLY REOPENED MONGOLIA AND NEPAL WITH CURATED TRAVEL JOURNEYS FROM THE PAVILIONS HOTELS & RESORTS

As Mongolia and Nepal reopen to much-needed international travel and tourism, The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts invites adventure seekers to head ‘Into The Wild’ to discover the exhilarating natural landscapes and vibrant cultures of these extraordinary destinations. From mountain biking through the monumental Annapurna range and rafting the Seti Gandaki river in Nepal, to saddling up for the annual Genghis Khan Retreat in the Mongolian Steppe, The Pavilions’ signature Curated Journeys in Mongolia and Nepal provide an unforgettable immersion into two of the world’s most remote, untouched and awe-inspiring regions.

On 14 March, Mongolia dropped all entry restrictions and no longer requires any Covid testing, quarantine or self-isolation for tourist arrivals, regardless of age or vaccination/recovery status. The Pavilions Mongolia is therefore now accepting bookings for its sensational seasonal Genghis Khan Retreat, from 20 June – 30 August 2022. Guests booking a Curated Journey: Into The Wild at The Pavilions Mongolia can look forward to a life-changing four days of channelling their inner Khan, thundering across the spectacular Okhorn valley on horseback; mastering the legendary Mongol bow; kayaking down the Okhorn river; and enjoying the child-like wonder of camping on the great plains in a luxuriously equipped traditional ger.

Nepal reopened to vaccinated and unvaccinated international tourists on 10 March, reinstating its visa-on-arrival scheme and allowing unrestricted entry without quarantine for arrivals presenting either a vaccine certificate or recent negative Covid test*. With its complementary twin Farm and Lakeside locations, luxury eco-resort The Pavilions Himalayas immerses guests in lushly forested valleys, the majestic Annapurna mountain range, and wild unspoilt local culture – all while ensuring their stay positively impacts the local community and natural environment. Going ‘Into The Wild’ at The Pavilions Himalayas encompasses biking trails through the mountains, paddy fields and lakeshores of Pokhara; a full-day trek up to the Peace Pagoda, a vertiginous vantage point with spectacular views of the Annapurna range; rafting or kayaking the Seti Gandaki river; and valley hiking through unpaved tracks and subtropical forest to explore local Nepalese villages – as well as some well-earned pampering in the shape of organic farm-to-table dining and relaxing al fresco spa experiences.

‘Into The Wild’ Curated Journeys are also available at all-suite sustainable resort The Pavilions Anana Krabi, Thailand, where guests can visit Aonang’s only ethical elephant sanctuary; bike or hike the challenging 3.7km trail up Khao Ngon Nak National Park’s Dragon Crest Mountain to witness one of Thailand’s most epic viewpoints; and enjoy al fresco farm-to-fork dining at the on-site organic permaculture plantation. As of 1 April, Thailand no longer requires pre-travel PCR testing or quarantine for vaccinated arrivals**.

Curated Journeys: Into The Wild packages start from USD250pp (approx. GBP191pp) at The Pavilions Anana Krabi, and from USD570pp (approx. GBP435pp) at The Pavilions Himalayas, including four nights’ accommodation, selected meals and Into The Wild activities; and from USD2400pp (approx.
