Families Embark on a Football Holiday Escape at Ikos Andalusia
Ikos Resorts is delighted to offer two football coaching programmes for youngsters at the new Ikos Andalusia in partnership with Football Escapes. Led by former Premier League and England National players, the camps will provide professional coaching for children looking to enhance their skill set this summer whilst on their summer holiday.
The hotel is hosting the second week of its Football Escapes programme, where professional footballers dedicate a week to helping families hone their skills and fall in love with the sport. With Spain on the amber list and vaccinated travellers all set for a summer break, Ikos Andalusia is the ideal destination for an active and accessible escape for all ages.
From the 23rd-27th August, internationally acclaimed football hero Robbie Keane is taking the mantle and offering a chance for kids to get moving and work together whilst parents cheer from the sidelines. Youngsters inspired by the heroics of the Euros this summer will get the chance to rub shoulders with the former captain of the Republic of Ireland. Robbie Keane is the most capped player and the top goal-scorer in the team’s history. Ikos Andalusia in Spain opened its doors for the first time on 17th May and offers a stunning backdrop for families looking to enjoy the Spanish sunshine, while soaking up the benefits of outdoor sport. The first Football Escapes programme took place in July 2021, led by Bobby Zamora, former Premier League striker for West Ham United and Fulham FC who also represented England on the international stage. The second course, led by Robbie Keane, will also take place against the stunning backdrop of Ikos Andalusia with two hours of daily coaching across five days for both programmes. Children of all abilities aged between 5 and 15 will have the chance to learn from the professionals and brush up on their ball skills.
Each child that enrols on the course will be provided with a full Football Escapes kit including a personalised shirt, shorts, and socks, as well as a signed certificate and medal on completion of the course.
